Down Ende guest house (b & b) is situated in the beautiful Cornish countryside, just a few miles from the charming fishing villages of Looe and Polperro.

The guest house was built in the 1930's and stands in two acres of lawns and gardens. The front gardens are laid to lawn, with many local varieties of trees and shrubs. At the rear is the car parking area and the main entrance.

Down Ende is a family run b & b, managed by your hosts - Teresa & Andy Greenaway with help in both the kitchen & gardens from Yvonne Greenaway (Mum).

Teresa and Andy take pride in the high standards of service and accommodation they provide, always willing to offer advice on what to see and where to go, it is easy to see why so many people arrive as guests and return as friends.

Teresa, an accomplished chef, manages the every day running of the bed & breakfast. Andy (a keen golfer, a member at Looe Golf Club) has been in the service industry all of his working career, and support Teresa in the running of the accommodation and maintains the guest house's facilities.

There is a lovely front garden, where you may take a stroll, or just relax on the patio or enjoy a home cooked meal in the new conservatory with its views of the cornish country side.

Looe is just a few miles down the road as is Polperro to the south west and Plymouth and Kingsand and Cawsand to the east.
The A38 into Cornwall is jut 5 miles from us, your gateway to the South coast, St Austell 40mins, Newquay 60mins, Lands End 90mins depending on traffic.

Down Ende Bed and Breakfast is a great place to centre your holiday or short brake. With the sea a short drive, golf on the door step and other main attractions such as Edan, the lost Gardens, Lands End all with in easy reach.

Breakfast

In the mornings, a full Cornish or continental breakfast is served from 8.30am.
We offer a wide choice, including, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals and of course the full Cornish served with mouth watering local sausages, bacon and free range eggs, We also offer a daily specials such as scrambled eggs & smoked salmon. We are pleased to help with any dietary needs and view unusual diets as a challenge!.

We source as much produce as we can from around Looe, Liskeard and the Caradon area.

Dining

The dining room has an attached fully licensed bar, and during the winter months, an open log fire adds a cosy warmth to the room. In the bar area you will find many leaflets and brochures out lining all the local attractions. We also keep a folder containing menus from good local restaurants & pubs and we are pleased to make reservations on your behalf.

The rooms are available for check in daily from 4.00pm to 9:00pm.
(If you should arrive in the Looe area early please call to see if you room is available).

Guest Services

We are happy to arrange special bouquets, chocolates, champagne or wine to be in your room upon arrival for that special occasion. For long-term guests, a laundry service is available for a small fee.

Car Parking

At the rear of the house we have a large car park, so if you wish to tow a boat we can accommodate you. Looe has a public tidal slip which is about 2 miles from us. See our Looe and Polperro pages for more information.
